Please buy this!!!!!! I finished this book within 24 hrs of starting it. People are not lying when they say it’s one of those books that you just can’t put down. All of the characters and the incredible story line just draw you in and make you feel as though you NEED to know what happens next. This book flows so well and seemingly effortlessly between the flashbacks which is something no other book I have read has done. It has the perfect amount of truth and love and excitement and disappointment (not in the book but a character ahaha) and wonder and hope. It pulls on your heartstrings and then let’s them tho go, pulling you in, mesmerising you with the storyline. It was beautiful and emotional and the writing was phenomenal. I can’t explain it in a way that will truly capture the way I felt reading it, so you will just have to read it and experience it for yourself. I would 100000% recommend reading this and I am definitely reading more from this incredible author.

Doormat of a girl meets brooding, uncommunicative character who says he cannot love but is happy to have lots of sex. No strings you understand... So they do. Have lots of sex. I couldn't warm to either Tate or Miles characters. By half way through the book I didn't care what happened to either of them.

This was an indulgence, like eating cake and candy! It’s a predictable story but had moments of depth and I did shed a few tears…loss of love is always sad.

This has to be the best CoHo book to date. It is beautifully written, like prose and love letters.
The thing with books about friends with benefits you always assume how it is going to end and that's fine. But what makes this book stand out against all the others is Miles journey to get to where he is. He is a completely original hero and one you cant help but fall in love with.
Miles' loving nature was shown brilliantly and if it showed you anything it showed just how hard he loved.
Tate is a strong heroine, her character is lovable, her journey is still a strong one but on a different level than Miles'.
Together they have chemistry you can feel. I never felt that sex was just thrown in there for the sack of it, it all had a point.
It was filled with passion, emotion, it was sexy and every scene in this book counted. It all carved a great story to perfection.

This book was beautiful I just love Colleen's epic emotional love stories they are just a cut above the rest Miles and Tate from the start were pulled towards each other but life is complicated and none so more than our Hero Miles his past is heartbreaking and I loved how Colleen took us back through his past to reveal the tragedy I have been through that pain and it's unbearable some days and the feelings and the emotions were spot on Colleen so thankyou for that Tate bless her heart she was one in a million and Miles was a lucky SOB she has enough love and hope for both of them and held on for dear life and waited while Miles confronted a painful past and in the end everyone healed and an epic HEA ensured my heart was light and fluffy just loved this book hard so don't hesitate one click this ASAP you won't regret it!!!!

Holy s***. This book, my gosh this book was full to the brim of feels. At 30% I actually had to stop reading becasue all I could think to myself was “This is going to hurt…..this can not end well…..this is going to huuuuuuurt.” This book was so beautifully written I am in awe. I have read other books by Colleen Hoover, but this one was perfection. It was poetic, seamless, emotional and passionate. The beautiful description of the characters emotions was magical, I felt like I was inside their souls living their feelings at the same time they experienced them. I wanted to reach out and shake Miles, I wanted to comfort Tate and tell her she deserved someone better. I wanted to hold Miles in my arms and take away his guilt and pain and I wanted to sit down with Tate and let her know she has to hang on. All these feeling in one book your saying? Two words Ugly Love.

I think I will forgo the story analysis and just talk about the character that I loved and hated so much. When we first get to know Tate, I had mixed opinions about her, I thought she was smart and intelligent, then when she gets herself involved with Miles, and it is clear she is out of her depth I began to think she was too weak and vulnerable. But then the more I read about her, the more I realised she was not weak at all, she risked her heart for Miles, even when he continually told her that she meant nothing to him, she hung on, she believed even subconsciously that she could sway him, she knew deep down that this was her shot.

For such an outwardly confidant and seemingly easy going man Miles is a basket case, he is a mess inside, he is destroyed and knows he has no hope of recovery. When he meets Tate she makes him feel again, but being the stubborn guilt ridden bastard that he is he refuses to feel anything for her, or refuses to let him self feel anything for her and he pretty much uses her. He knows she has feelings for him but he is too powerless to give in to these feelings, he knows he is breaking her but he cant stop himself, he cant keep away just as much as he cant have her.

This book actually got a bit hard to read, like I mentioned earlier. There was so much emotions involved with these two characters, it hurt to see them both hurting. As much as I wanted a HEA I was not 100% sure that we would actually get it, becasue in real life there sometimes aren’t happy endings, the way Miles was so adamant that he could never love again was not an easy journey for him to overcome. That being said I am not going to spoil this book for you, just do yourself a favour and read this book, but don’t expect a happy lovey dovey romance, this is real life people!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great read!!!

I really enjoyed this book and read it in only 24 hours. It is a story told from the two perspectives of the protagonists, with Nate narrating in the present and Miles six years ago. Through this we get to see the history of Miles and how this has shaped him today. This made the story interesting and kept me wanting to read more. Overall this book was very emotional but it tied up well with a lovely ending. This is the first Colleen Hoover novel I have read and I can't wait to read more from this author.

This book had me on the edge of my couch...I couldn't put it down unless I really had to, and mostly to cry, so emotional as I could never ever know the pain of what miles went through but still at the same time I felt it in my heart and soul, my chest was literally heavy the whole book...so amazingly written

it was good and Miles's back story wasn't at all predictable which I liked, there's nothing worse than knowing what's going to happen in the story. It's only four stars bc it's just your generic romance book, nothing about it really stood out. That being said i don't regret reading it.
