Poor quality, stitching falling apart.

Stay away, on receipt of the elbow pads I contacted the seller regarding the stitching as seemed loose and whether they are genuine triple8, they replied with year they are and there are fakes about. So I decided I’d trust them and continued to use them. To date, these have hardly been use and as suspected the stitching is all coming loose, they haven’t had any scrapes or impact.
I am expected to pay for return for seller to then return to triple8, to then receive replacements. Shocking service, buy elsewhere.

Checked size chart and measurements but these were far too big and had to pay to return them. The stitching securing the pad didn't look like it would last very long either - could've done a better job myself! Bought a pair half the price instead and they fit better and look more long-lasting.

I got these hoping the foam padding itself would be fairly rigid, combined with the easier wearability of having no hard cap. Size was wrong based on their chart, so it doesn’t stay on my arm at all, so I’ll be returning based on that. But beyond that I would be afraid to rely on these for protection. I know they aren’t meant to be a full replacement of true elbow pads, but as someone that recently took a fall and cut my elbow - I don’t think wearing these would have protected me too much that day anyhow. I’ve found other foam pads that’s you can land with more support so I’ll be using those instead.

These "small" elbow pads are way too big for a 12 year old boy. They are not adjustable. They only give very limited protection.

Effective during low impact street skating / park skating

I'll start by saying that I am an "adult" skateboarder in my thirties. I bought these pads after suffering an elbow injury that left me very sensitive to slight impact on my elbow. I bought these pads to use during my street skateboarding sessions or at the skate park, I'm happy to say that they effectively reduce the pain I experience when falling and rolling on my elbows. I will say that these pads are effective for falling in a flat ground situation or skating a flat rail or a flat ledge, I wouldn't expect these pads to absorb the impact of say ollieing a 12 stair, sticking, and slamming directly onto your leading elbow. So recently when I was at the skatepark I tried to do a frontside 180 kick flip and I landed primo, I fell on my butt, my elbows, and my hands and I was very happy when I didn't feel any sharp pains in my elbow. Let me describe this properly, I fell onto my butt rolling onto my lower back, and then placing the hands on the ground followed by the elbows making contact with the ground. Basically it was your typical fall that I would have experienced sharp elbow pain from in the past, with these pads on however I did not feel that pain.

In summation, these pads will probably reduce the pain experienced from rolling on your elbows, but probably won't reduce the pain from a direct slam on your elbow against the concrete.
