Firstly I love Donna Alam’s books, especially the Hot Scots. This story is about a hot Duke, Alexander, who is a hot Scot and an American teacher Holland (Holly) who is working in the UK as a Teacher/Educator/Nanny when she has a one night stand with Alexander 🔥🔥
Holland then loses her job in London and is waitressing for an elite catering firm when she bumps into Alexander again. When he hears of her losing her job he gets his assistant to send her to an agency who then offers her a job in his castle in Scotland (unbeknownst to him).
This story is of their meeting again and the challenges of a Duke and a Nanny.
Now I thought Alexander was gorgeous and sexy and he had his mind set on Holland from day one. He was 40 and she was a 24 year old who was pretty clueless with very few life experiences, having come from a small town in the US. Her family were the fodder of town gossip and this impacted on her self esteem. Her decision making throughout this book drove me insane at times as she had no life skills to deal with a grown up relationship. Thank God for Alexander, he saw the vulnerable woman beneath the exterior. Even though Holland was an annoying leading lady I enjoyed the story.
