I wanted to really like this book. I just couldn’t get into the characters. They would have moments where I thought it was going to turn around but it fell flat. I wish the author would have removed the best friend stealing ten million wasn’t that big of a deal. It’s so much not off a deal you are willing to give the thief another fifty thousand for a piece of jewelry you purchased. Also I didn’t like how the MFC was a rising stylist but needed capitol to grow. Wouldn’t most financial institutions or orators deem her business worthy of growing? I hate my finishing books even if I skim but this just couldn’t hold my attention.

There were some good one liners and the characters were like able enough but I don’t understand why this had to be 400+ pages. It just dragged and I skipped huge chunks and found I didn’t even care what I missed. The gossip girl style social updates were whatever and the drama wasn’t even drama because you know they’re rich and will be fine. No reall inner turmoil. Read like half of it
