5.0 out of 5 starsShelly and West🥰🥰🥰
Reviewed in Australia on 13 November 2021
Weston and Marty have been best friends since they were kids and Marty’s sister Shelly (Rachel) has always tagged along. She has always loved West and when she is 16 West goes off to join the Army and it breaks her heart. He promises to write to her and never lose touch, but he breaks that promise. Shelly spends 7 years missing West, but does as he asked her to do, and goes to college and follows her dreams to become a historian. West is discharged from the Army but he is a broken man. His entire platoon is killed and after his discharge he goes into a very dark place with alcohol and depression. It takes a lot of years to get sober but he still regards himself as broken. When Shelly is called home when Gram needs surgery she has not seen West for seven years and when she does he is not the man she once knew. This is their story and I thoroughly enjoyed the read.

I tried, oh how I tried. But seriously? Female MC saccharine sweet and kind to elderly/animals-check; surly male MC, vet with issues-check....surprisingly I found the sex too graphic in some places and neither character were shown favourably.

This is Rachel "Shel" Simon & Weston McKnight’s story. They were best friends, he promised to write to her while on deployment, but ended up ghosting her (or did he?) Shel is now back to their small town to help her grandmother with the B&B while she recovers from hip surgery. Now what will happen? Will they settle their differences? Will he explain what has happened? Can these two find a HEA or will outside forces make sure that never happens?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

To take a chane on love.

Was a story full of angst and pig mayhem but with a dash of suspense and danger
I did feel it dragged in places but that was probably just me, I let you be the judge on that one

4.0 out of 5 stars It's time for these friends to admit their love.

Rachel (Shel) and West were best friends, madly in love with each other but neither one wiling to admit it. Life took them in two different directions until now. For Shel is temporarily returning home to Dallas. Running into West is expected, keeping each other at arms length is impossible. When they come together it’s explosive. However a relationship isn’t easy as West is fighting his own demons and there’s trouble surrounding their homes. Will they be able to overcome all these issues and grab their chance at love. This story was slow in places, but when the action hits it’s heart stopping and will have you on the edge of your seat. Add in the crazy antics of a pig who thinks he’s a guard dog and you will chuckle.

This book took me forever to get into. It's one of those books I probably read twice while reading it once. My Kindle kept losing its place. Bookmarks would appear and disappear. I'd read along and realize it sounded familiar. I'd lost my place and gone backwards.

I just couldn't get into the book. Then I did and it seemed to go all over the place. I realized the book is part of a series that I had not read. Yet there was reference to another series I have read (Heart's Edge).

The love scenes are torrid, but West is too macho to be my kind of sexy. The bonus short story to the book is very cute though.

I need to find someplace with those truffle almonds. I'm wondering what they smell and taste like.

I was introduced to Nicole Snow through her series the "GrizzLies MC" actually my first MC story "Outlaw's Bride" I've been hooked on the MC genre ever since, I've read a multitude of MC stories some of the best some not but for me there has not been one MC series that top the" Grizzlies MC" it's awesome. Ok this romance story is good very well written the suspense, drama, humor, friends, family, strong alpha men and Hec 😀, grandma, aunts, all make for a very good read, I enjoy everything by Nicole Snow never disappointed so go ahead and enjoy another strong alpha man and the woman who capture his heart !!!

The Worst Best Friend is a small town romance with a surprising hero thrown into the mix.
This is the first book I have read from this author, and this series, so it felt like there was more history and background on these characters that I just didn't know. Even stating her the characters were well developed and well written, even the bad guy gave me the creeps just reading about him.
It was fun to read a book about my area of the world as I live in a tiny oilfield town just miles from Miles City, Glendive and Dickenson, all towns mentioned in the book.
I would recommend this book to people who love a good romance/mystery, and most of all Must Love Pigs.

This story was a page turner. Had hero’s, villains, brothers best friend, Military, veteran, ptsd, long time of hiding love, at 50% they give into their chemistry. The characters are well described, maybe things in the book had tooo much description or too long of thoughts. The characters fight their love for most of the book and finally get their happy ending.

best friends eventually turn to lovers but with a lot of emotional issues. Weston and Rachel were really meant to be together but getting there wasn't easy. West had some commitment issues due to his military time and problems he faced when he came home. this book had me on edge for quite awhile. So good!

Sweet story about childhood friends that have a crush on each other but they do not mention it to each other. They find their way back to each other with some ruffled feathers and a twist to the story, cute not to steamy.
