I’ve enjoyed the previous trilogies set in Magiford, and this is no exception. Love how the story is unfolding, and the mystery of who was turning the humans was great - with a surprising sting in the tail of it. Greyson and Pip are a great set of characters, plus we see more of the Wolf’s Kiss being explored. Ends with a great hook that means I’ll be counting down the days until book three comes out.

I'm not so sure about these series. I lived the other one so I'm seeing it through, but it just hasn't engaged me the sand way. I just think she way too oblivious.

This is the second book in this trilogy and it is fantastic. I love these characters so much. I love a smart, capable and kind female lead, and a strong, loyal and grudgingly smitten male who annoys her! I am hooked on this series and am dying for the next book! K.M. Shea’s Magiford trilogies unbelievably get better and better- this one is my favourite so far!

The tension is heating up

While the first book in the series started out slow, this book was definitely an improvement as K.M. Shea amped up the tension--both in the primary plot, and the romantic subplot.

I have to admit, I expected the story to end somewhat similarly to the previous Magiford books, in which the main characters get together, but the guy does something dumb and overprotective which breaks them up. We didn't quite get that, so I was happy.

As someone who's not a huge fan of suspense, I had a bit of a creeping dread about the unexpected turnings, even though the victims were clearly sign posted. I was glad that Shea didn't shy away from Teresa's transformation, or the heartache of Jack's transformation against his will.

Loved the sweet moments between Greyson and Pip, but I'm kind of anxious for that to get sorted and for them to start working together. I think we've already seen a sneak peak of how Shea plans to resolve the mate bond issue in this book.

If you enjoyed her other urban fantasy series, you will enjoy this book.

Well I must say I am so excited this series gets better. The story picks up nicely from the first book and is full of twists, mystery and a lot of covering up from our Alpha as to whom his mate is. The story finishes on a teaser, I wouldn’t call it a cliffhanger, it’s enough for you to want to dive right in and find out what’s in store for our resident hunter. Can’t recommend this book enough.
